- 400,000 years of human presence, more than 93,000 archaeological objects; discovered by Bernard Bottet in December 1946; listed as a Monument Historique on 7 April 1992. Entrance at 410 m altitude, overlooking the Verdon (43.7003 N, 6.0558 E). Guided visits only, via the museum (booking 04 92 74 09 59).
