Two addresses, two ways to ride off-road at the gates of the Verdon: the
motocross, enduro, quad and trial school on 600 hectares
at Senez (Espace Loisirs Boade), and guided quad and SSV rides across the
Valensole plateau and the Basses Gorges (Quad Escape, Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon).

Two operators, two terrains
The Verdon doesn’t have a single dirt biking venue: two separate operators, about thirty
kilometres apart, cover different needs. Boade is a closed estate of 600 ha, built
for supervised free-roam riding and lessons (motocross, enduro, quad, trial). Quad Escape
takes its clients onto the tracks of the surrounding countryside, on guided rides
across plateau, lake and gorges.
The two operators
Espace Loisirs Boade

A 600-hectare estate entirely dedicated to free-roam off-road riding, about ten minutes from Castellane: a motocross, enduro, quad and trial school, with 6 motocross tracks and 1 supercross track, plus routes marked by level so riders can progress safely. On-site camping and accommodation. Open from 1 April to 31 October, every day, weather permitting.
Quad Escape
Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon · guided quad & SSV rides

Where can you ride a quad bike or dirt bike near the Verdon?
Two addresses at the gates of the Verdon: Espace Loisirs Boade, at Senez near Castellane, a 600-hectare estate dedicated to motocross, enduro, quad and trial riding, either as a school or free-roam; and Quad Escape, based in Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon, which offers guided rides on quads or SSV/buggies across the Valensole plateau, around Lake Sainte-Croix and through the Basses Gorges.
Do you need a licence to ride a quad bike or dirt bike near the Verdon?
At Quad Escape, a car driving licence is required to drive an SSV/buggy or a two-seater quad on roads and open tracks. For the closed circuits at Boade (motocross, enduro, trial), the operator publishes no licence requirement — check directly, depending on the activity and the rider’s age, when booking.
What is the minimum age for quad biking or SSV riding near the Verdon?
At Quad Escape, the family SSV package accepts children from age 5 as a passenger; the sport package on a two-seater quad requires a passenger aged 12 or over. Boade is aimed more at riders who are autonomous on its level-marked routes — contact the operator for the exact minimum age by discipline (motocross, enduro, quad, trial).
How much does a quad biking outing near the Verdon cost?
At Quad Escape, expect from €150 for a 1.5-hour SSV discovery ride (2 people), up to €430 for a full day. At Boade, access to the tracks is charged per person: €25 for quad, cross or enduro, €15 for trial only. These are the prices displayed by the operators: confirm them before booking.
Can you go motocross or enduro riding near the Verdon?
Yes, at Espace Loisirs Boade (Senez), the only site in the area dedicated to these disciplines: 6 motocross tracks, 1 supercross track, and enduro and trial routes marked by level, on 600 hectares of supervised free-roam terrain. The site also offers on-site camping and accommodation, open from 1 April to 31 October.
Do you need to book ahead for quad biking or SSV riding?
At Quad Escape, booking is done online at quadescape.com and is recommended in advance, as the operation runs on this principle year-round. At Boade, the site is open every day from 1 April to 31 October, weather permitting — it’s best to call ahead to confirm the day’s hours before travelling.
