The Verdon Letter

The territory’s important news, without the noise. The state of the Verdon right now, a verified place, the season’s tip, the month’s agenda: the same standard as the site — local, verified, sourced. And, when it really matters, the alert that saves you from setting out for nothing.

Frequently asked questions

How often is it sent?

Once or twice a month for the Letter. The “State of the Verdon” alerts are different: they are sent only when an event justifies it — a water release, a closed road or trail, a swimming ban. We prefer one Letter a month that really arrives to four irregular mailings.

What are the “State of the Verdon” alerts?

A second subscription, ticked separately, reserved for information that can spoil a day or compromise an outing: a scheduled EDF water release, a closed trail or road (the Imbut, the Route des Crêtes, a rockfall), a swimming ban. Each alert cites its official source; it is prepared as a draft, then read over and sent by a person, never automatically. You can receive the Letter without the alerts, or the alerts without the Letter.

Is it disguised advertising?

No. The Letter exists to be useful, not to sell. If a Verdon professional ever supports a mailing, their box will be labelled as a sponsor, never mixed in with our advice — it is the same independence charter as on the rest of the site.

What do you do with my e-mail address?

We use it to send you the Letter, and nothing else. It is not resold, not passed on, not used to chase you about anything else. You unsubscribe in one click from any mailing, and subscribing first requires a confirmation by e-mail: without that click from you, you receive nothing.

Who writes it?

The same team as the rest of LiveVerdon, with the same method: what we state is verified or sourced, and when we do not know, we say so. You can read our verification method on the dedicated page.
